The local partner in Jordan was extremely well-organized: prompt, attentive, and good-humored. We had a wonderful time and saw the highlights of Jordan, and were able to have the benefits of our well-educated guide Sami to share both historical knowledge and to learn more about life in Jordan.

Encounters Travel - Jordan is a definite YES

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G best describes the Encounters Jordan tour...not a single complaint - the hotels were CLEAN, comfortable, and definitely 4/5 star. The people tasked with guiding and driving us around were amicable, friendly, always smiling. Amazing adventure!

This trip was an adventure for sure! Visiting Jordan was amazing; however, when we got to Egypt it was a more stressful experience. Beware the extra charges for tours where they want dollars instead of pounds. Also, they rush you through places and limited time to shop for souvenirs. Jordan Express - should revert the name of this tour to Jordan on a Shoestring

We did the Jordan Express tour with Encounters Travel in May 2023. Petra was a highlight but guide was very average - quite lazy. According to the Encounters website, this tour was previously called Jordan on a Shoestring but has been renamed to Jordan Express to reflect a maximum group size of 18 and better quality hotels. Loved Jordan will not return to Egypt

We absolutely LOVED the entire Jordan experience. There is so much to see in Jordan and it is completely underappreciated. Jerash is beautiful and I run out of words to describe Petra. Encounters Travel- Buyer Beware

We recently returned from the Ancient Encounters itinerary (Egypt & Jordan). The Egypt portion of the itinerary felt rushed and exhausting with multiple 4 am wake up calls.
