the guide wss good, informed and pleasant perhaps a little too much political. The accomodations were bad,. The Ptima hotels in Tel Aviv and Gerusalem wete way below expectations. The rooms were extremely small, not very clean, and above all very noisy... People on the same tour, who oaud less than we did, had wsy better accomodations. Very disappointed...The two days on the Kibbutz community were equally unpleasant.. We had …
my girl friend and i went on a 2 week vacation with encounters travel. 1st thing to know: they out source their tours. the egypt part of our tour was operated by Lady Egypt (amazing, 10/10, would highly recommend!!!). The jordan part was operated by Al Thuraya (not sure spelling). The jordan company was dreadful. The tour guide was consistently absent and during free time took off and left no …
Jordan has always been on my bucket list. So glad I've been. 4 days of our tour were awesome but Day 1 was a waste of time. Not good and not worth it Jerash, the Dead Sea, Petra and Wadi Rum were all amazing beautiful places. Our first hotel was fantastic. Sulaf Hotel. But we were dropped off to our camp on Friday morning at 11.30 at Wadi Rum with …
The 7 day tour could easily have been condensed into 5 nights. We had a day to ourselves before an evening meeting with the rep on day 1, and day 7 ended immediately after breakfast. The guide spoke little English so we got nonsense answers to questions that we asked about places of interest. The trip to Chitwan was the best bit. Getting so close to elephants and rhino was …
Full of enthusiasm for our first visit to Africa, we were dismayed at the outset to receive no information about the logistics and particulars of the tour when we arrived at the hotel in Casablanca. Our itinerary said "dinner," but nothing more. The hotel tried calling the number on itinerary, but that phone was turned off. Many of us stood around, wondering what, where, when; we finally ate some dinner …
First off, this was the first guided tour trip I have ever taken. All in all the discover Egypt trip was great. We were able to see all of the sights with minimal effort towards planning and organizing. Egypt is an amazing place and I feel like through the tour we were able to knock out nearly all of the major landmarks and destinations. However, there were a few instances …
So, we bought a Living Social deal in March this year for our trip to Egypt w Encounter Travels. Since we have traveled earlier on a groupon deal to Greece w a different co. we knew we did our research on Encounter Travels- revies, their website, trip details etc. before we bought the livingSocial deal. Everything looked great on paper and we were happy after we made our booking w …
Zuzu was an amazing guide. He is very knowledgeable, very kind and alot of fun. He made sure we were all taken care of. If we wanted to do things outside of the tour (walks or bars) he picked great places for us. He was great and silly/funny too.
It was a fantastic trip! Everything was great, but my favorite was visiting Idris' village and the cooking class. The first kasbah was great too!
A great way to see a more "real" side of the Maldives. It's not all picture postcards.
The beauty of the Maldives and its spectacular underworld was unfortunately not enhanced by this tour, which, with the restraints of the local culture completely restricting alcohol and limiting food choices, one would be well advised to combine this tour,(if one wants to experience local culture), with a few days on a resort island. Comparing package prices of resort holidays to the Maldives, this trip was not actually value for money. …
We've never done a coach tour before. Was expecting a lot of driving obviously but didn't expect five to seven hours a day (and this was just the west coast). If only they could make Turkey smaller! The guide however was excellent "we will stop soon for some snakes" and our group were all good company but that became a problem:- Parts of the group would be taken away to …
