This was our first time on a guided tour and it was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Emad, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the historical roots of the country and also its modern-day culture in everyday life. We were able to do and see so much in the 9 days that we were there. We highly recommend adding the optional half-day tour of visiting Saqqara, Dashour & Memphis.

Definitely Recommended!

We just got back from a "Nubian Adventure" tour, and Encounters made the trip smooth and enjoyable. In particular, we have extremely high praise for our guide Mahmoud, who had a great sense of humor, had an excellent grasp of Egyptian history and culture, was easy to understand, and was good at wrangling the drifters and wanderers in our group. Exceptional Service

I've been to 4 countries in 4 months, My travel with Encounter was by far the BEST! Egypt was amazing. Now watching Ancient Aliens has true meaning when they air the episode about Egypt!
