Embark on an extraordinary 20-day odyssey that traverses the soul of Southern Africa, beginning in the vibrant heart of Cape Town and culminating at the majestic Victoria Falls. This journey is designed for the modern explorer, blending the rugged beauty of the Cederberg mountains and the floral wonders of Namaqualand with the hauntingly beautiful desert vistas of Namibia. You will witness the sunrise over the iconic red dunes of Sossusvlei, walk the rim of the Fish River Canyon, and explore the German-inspired coastal charm of Swakopmund.
As the expedition ventures north, the focus shifts to Africa’s premier wilderness sanctuaries. Experience world-class wildlife tracking in the vast salt pans of Etosha National Park before crossing into the lush, water-rich landscapes of the Okavango Delta. Whether you are gliding through the lily-padded channels in a traditional mokoro or enjoying a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River amongst herds of elephants, every moment offers a profound connection to the natural world.
The adventure concludes in Zimbabwe at the legendary "Smoke that Thunders." Beyond the awe-inspiring views of Victoria Falls, you will find a hub of culture and adrenaline, from local craft markets to helicopter flights over the Batoka Gorge. With a perfect mix of guided highlights and free time for personal discovery, this tour offers a comprehensive and deeply authentic encounter with the diverse landscapes, people, and wildlife of the southern continent.
Accommodation is either camping based or in comfortable hotels, lodges and permanent camps and travel is on a specialist expedition vehicle with large windows, charging points and an experienced tour leader/driver and cook on board.
